We start by listening to (or asking about) how the best person on the team actually answers calls, the specific phrases they use, how they greet someone, how they handle a rushed caller, and write from that instead of from marketing copy. "We can't" instead of "we are unable to." "Let me check" instead of "please allow me a moment to verify."
Give it real information instead of safe generic answers
A script that says "pricing varies depending on your needs" every time sounds robotic because it's dodging the question, the same way a bad human employee would. The fix is giving the AI real pricing ranges, real hours, real service area boundaries, and real answers to the ten questions that come up constantly, so it can actually answer instead of stalling.
